Designing Matter Through Theory
Designing Matter Through Theory
Theoretical and Computational Chemistry

About QTC
With more than 30 years of experience, the Theoretical and Computational Chemistry group at the Universitat Jaume I works at the intersection of chemistry, physics and materials science.
We investigate molecules, materials and biological systems through theory, simulation and experimentation.
Our research connects theory, simulation and experiment to understand the nature of chemical bonding and to design new materials with advanced properties.
What We Do
Our work leads to real-world solutions: gas sensors, photocatalytic materials, and nanomaterials with antibacterial and antifungal properties, with applications in health, industry and the environment.
Molecules and Materials
From nanoscale systems to complex materials.
Theory and Simulation
We understand matter through computational models.
Real-World Applications
We design materials with an impact on industry and society.
Understanding matter is the first step towards designing the future.

International Collaboration
Recognised as a Marie Curie Centre of Excellence, the QTC group collaborates with universities, research centres and companies worldwide.
